Gray.PRODUCT TYPE: Gray Rust-Inhibiting Primer (Lead-Free, Chromate-Free, Cadmium-Free/Non-Asphaltic).
DESCRIPTION: A high solids alkyd gray primer for use on structural steel surfaces where durability combined with a fast dry condition is necessary. X-6948 is a high solids V.O.C. compliant product which meets the stringent 3.5 lbs. per gallon V.O.C. requirements of various municipalities.
Intended Use: For structural steel surfaces.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 365 square feet per gallon @ approximately 2.0 mils dry film thickness.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface to be coated must be free of all dirt, oil and grease. Galvanized surfaces should be etched with a phosphoric etch before applying primer. Remove loose rust and scale from metal surfaces with Farwest #695 Rynolite Chemical Cleaner-Etcher.
APPLICATION: Brush, roller, or spray. Thinning is not recommended.
CLEAN-UP: Equipment and tools may be cleaned with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner or Toluol.
