PRODUCT TYPE:
High-Solids, Zinc Phosphate, V.O.C. Compliant Phenolic Primer. Lead and Chromate Free.DESCRIPTION: A quick-drying, corrosion-inhibiting, zinc phosphate, phenolic primer. This is a lead and chromate-free primer which contains no more than 332 grams per liter of volatile organic compounds as applied. It is excellent for use on pre-treated ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This product features a combination of properties, including fast-drying, good adhesion over properly prepared surfaces and good corrosion resistance against rusting. It is a lacquer proof primer and finishes such as nitrocellulose lacquer, epoxies or 2-part urethanes may be applied directly over it without lifting or wrinkling.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: Approximately 300-400 square feet per gallon.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove loose rust and scale with Farwest #695 Rynolite Clemical Cleaner-Etcher and wire brush. All surfaces should be free of foreign particles and contaminants.
APPLICATION: Spray application is recommended for best results. Product should not be thinned differently than recommended below.
THINNING: Reduce with ratio of 4 parts volume of primer with one part volume of Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner conforming to TT-T-306, Type II.
CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner.
