X-5393 E-Z-Peel White Strippable Coating

PRODUCT TYPE: Synthetic Elastic Film.

DESCRIPTION: E-Z-Peel Off Strippable Booth Coating forms a thick elastic film that may be quickly and easily peeled from a surface. It is formulated as a quick-drying synthetic coating for use on interior of spray booths as a peelable film to keep other finishes from penetrating and sticking to the surface. It can be used on any smooth metal, glass, porcelain or other clean hard nonporous surface as a temporary protection against corrosion, finger marks, many chemicals and oils. This product remains elastic under normal conditions for six months and peelable if there is not excessive heat 100° F. or more.

Intended Use: Temporary, removable elastic coating for spray booths, metal, glass, porcelain or other hard non-porous surfaces.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

VISCOSITY: 49-53 k.u.

DRY TO TOUCH: 10-20 minutes

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 15-17%

TACK FREE: 1 hour

VOLUME SOLIDS: 8-10%

TIME TO RECOAT: 2 hours

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 7.50 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: 1 hour

V.O.C.: 700 grams per liter

COLOR RANGE: White (may be tinted)

FLASH POINT: 40° F.

PACKAGING: 1 or 5 gallon containers

BATCH: Stock

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 300-400 square feet per gallon depending on surface to be coated.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface should be clean, dry, free of oil, grease and any foreign materials.

APPLICATION: Apply by spray. Adjust gun to give an open fan pattern. Apply two uniform heavy coats (just short of sagging). Temperature should be 50° F. or above when applying. May be tinted with industrial colorants, on a deep tone base basis, if color is desired.

THINNING: Thin if necessary with Farwest Methyl Ethyl Ketone.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest Methyl Ethyl Ketone.
