#685 Alkyd Oil Stain (Interior/Exterior)

PRODUCT TYPE: Alkyd Modified Oil Stain.

DESCRIPTION: A high quality wiping or brushing stain suitable for use on interior woodworking or as an exterior semi-transparent stain for wood siding. It is formulated from a top quality log oil alkyd resin reduced with a suitable solvent combination and metal driers to produce optimum wiping and drying characteristics. This material has proven itself as a quality product through many years of sales, service and repeat purchases from satisfied users.

Intended Use: Semi-transparent stain for interior wood or exterior wood siding.

DRY TO TOUCH: 1-2 hours

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 35-37%

TACK FREE: Overnight

VOLUME SOLIDS: 30-32%

TIME TO RECOAT: Overnight

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 7.28 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: Overnight

V.O.C.: 540 grams per liter

FLASH POINT: 107° F.

PACKAGING: 1 or 5 gallon containers

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 350-500 square feet per gallon.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surfaces to be stained should be sanded, dry and free from foreign matter. Exterior siding: Surface must be dry, free from dirt, oil or grease.

APPLICATION: Apply freely by brush or rag. For exterior staining: It is desireable to apply the stain liberally by brush, keeping a constant wet edge and working the stain into the surface. Exterior surfaces may be re-coated with Farwest #690 Log Oil. Interior Surfaces: May be re-coated with any Farwest Polyurethane Varnish. For best adhesion, the stain should dry overnight before applying clear finishes.

THINNING: No thinning is necessary.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #602 Mineral Spirits.
