TT-P-664C Lacquer-Resisting Primer

PRODUCT TYPE: Phenolic Modified Alkyd Primer.
DESCRIPTION: A high grade phenolic modified alkyd type rust-inhibiting, lacquer-resisting primer for application on iron, steel, or wood. This product features a combination of properties including fast drying , good adhesion (over properly prepared surfaces), and good protection against rusting. It is a lacquer proof primer and finish coats such as nitrocellulose lacquers may be applied directly over it without lifting or wrinkling.
Intended Use: For iron, steel, or wood surfaces.

TACK FREE: 1 hour
VOLUME SOLIDS: 33-35%

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 9.40 lbs. per gal.
DRY HARD: 2 hours
V.O.C.: 563 grams per liter

FLASH POINT: 50° F.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 300 square feet per gallon @ 2 mils dry film thickness.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove loose rust and scale with Farwest #695 Rynolite Chemical Cleaner-Etcher and wire brush. All surfaces should be free of foreign particles and contaminants.
APPLICATION: Spray application is recommended for best results. For conventional spray: thin to 20-24" Zahn #2 Cup.
THINNING: This product should not be thinned unless absolutely necessary. If necessary for even spraying, thin with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner.
CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner or Farwest #615 Wash Thinner.
